The Open Software Foundation announces the availability of patch release 1.0.5 of OSF/Motif. This will be the final patch release to Version 1.0, and we are providing it as an additional service to those who can benefit from it -- primarily those who do not have X11R4 available to them. It introduces no new functionality, but fixes several bugs which have proved to have significant impact. Many of these fixes have been available through our support operation, and have also been fixed in Version 1.1 or its patch releases. This release contains changes to files necessary to fix about 40 bugs represented by PIRs, as well as a number of bugs that were not reported using the PIRs system. Included among the fixes is a change to the X11R3 intrinsics that will prevent the major memory leaks associated with deleting dialog widgets. Obtaining this release ********************** Motif 1.0.5 is available at no charge to Motif 1.0 licensees who hold full support or update contracts for Motif. Furthermore, if you received release 1.0.4, release 1.0.5 will be shipped to you; there is no need to request it.
