Thanks very much to everyone who answered my query about preserving values in a widget between activations. It turns out the easiest solution was to create the widget once and then just keep managing/unmanaging it. The code that I snarfed was creating a new widget each time (and leaving old copies lying around in memory I imagine). -- Steve Losen scl@virginia.edu University of Virginia Academic Computing Center
