Does anyone know of an easy way to record the interaction
of a user running an x-application under motif to some script
file (similar to RECORDER under Windows 3.0)?
Once done, this file could then be used to run the application.
This would be used in demos and/or auto-testing of applications.
Any ideas???
Thanks!

Have you looked into the XTrap server extension ? This is built into all newer Digital X servers and there is a kit for adding it to X11R4 servers in gatekeeper.dec.com:pub/X11/contrib/XTrap_v31a.tar.Z The xtrapin and xtrapout clients do what you want (and not just for Motif).
