I am in the process of planning my honeymoon, and am interested
in suggestions on where to go. The time I'm interested in is
late September, early October.
So far I've been looking at Hawaii, California, the Bahamas,
other Caribean (sp?) islands, Vermont, etc. , but am still wide open
to suggestions. All we desire is a place that is romantic,
fun, and exciting (in that order). We also don't want to spend
all of our time "playing tourist", therefore we aren't interested
in a place that you can't relax and enjoy. We have approx. a
week and a half to work with so we are open to moving around a
bit.
Thanks in advance,
Curt

> So far I've been looking at Hawaii, California, the Bahamas, > other Caribean (sp?) islands, Vermont, etc. I don't know much about Vermont and the Caribbean, but let me suggest these: In California, try the north coast (Mendocino county, Point Reyes and north). Spectacular scenery, not too far from civilization (under 2 hours from San Francisco), but quiet and private. Stay in a small inn, like a bed-and-breakfast. Also might try the central coast: Santa Barbara and north. Weather and water are warmer. Monterey area is also beautiful but is getting more touristy every day. In Hawaii, go for the islands that have less tourism, or go to an obscure part of Oahu or Maui. I would personally pick Kauai, stay in a simple motel, and spend the days going exploring, hiking, sunning, snorkeling. Find out ahead of time about what outfits offer special tours for hiking, rafting, etc. Write to the Chamber of Commerce there. We took a wonderful rubber-raft trip around the otherwise-inaccessible north shore of Kauai. -- -Mike Klein ...!ucbvax!ucbmerlin:klein (UUCP) klein%ucbmerlin@berkeley (ARPA)

I am in the middle of planning my honeymoon, and it would
be very helpful for any information.
I will be leaving the 29th of September and staying for
about a week. I am planning to go to St. Thomas in the
Virgin Islands, but I am have problems finding a romantic,
cozy, and fun place to stay, (preferably a small quaint
hotel on the beach).
Any information will be appreciated
