[comp.windows.x.motif] sharing objects between C and lisp: CLX/Xlib datatype compatibility ?

joshua@shadow.UUCP (Joshua Glasser) (06/12/91)

I am developing a (yet another) lisp based Motif/Xlib toolkit. It is going
quite well so far, but questions keep popping up that I do not know enough
about yet to anwser for myself.

It seems that I will have no trouble using CLX to provide drawing
capabilities, etc, for windows created via lisp bindings to the Motif C API.

This is because CLX and Motif can share the server id's for windows.

What I am trying to figure out now is: what other datatypes can CLX and
Motif/Xlib share? What would it take to do the sharing?

Does anybody out there know? Is anyone out there already doing this?
