[comp.windows.x.motif] Option Menus

rich@bryce.llnl.gov (Rich Mayfield) (06/18/91)

I've created an Option Menu using the
CreateSimpleOptionMenu convenience function. Everything
behaves properly, but I get a right-pointing arrow (i.e. ">")
on the option button, instead of the dash. Has anyone
had this problem? When I create Option Menus with
UIL I get the familiar dash on the button... Hmmmm

I'm using DEC's "Motif" version 1.1

thanks,
rich

Sounds like PIRS 2468:
pirs_nmbr 2468
off_ver 1.1
sts A
region XM
mod_nam OptionMenu
sh_desc1 You get the arrow graphic instead of the zit in OptionButton
sh_desc2 if you set subMenuId at SetValues rather than Initialize.

A workaround, if I recall correctly, was to set any menu at creation and
change it as necessary.

It's listed in the 1.1.1 OPENBUGS file but not in the 1.1.2 OPENBUGS file.
