I am working on an application that we are planning on running on monitors with two different resolutions. Because of this we have been experimenting with setting the XmNunitType resource on our widgets to Xm1000TH_INCHES and specifying all of our dimensions and offsets in 1000ths of an inch. Often, when we seem to have everything set up just right, any small change in the position of a child widget causes our XmForm dialog to come up much smaller than it should (it's hard to tell if the size is some factor of the screen resolution, however). We are using Motif 1.1 from DEC on VMS and DEC's VUIT and are specifying the initial widget information using UIL. While this problem is at its worst under VUIT, it still occurs when simply running the application and managing the XmForm dialog. The problem is even worse if we have XmForm widgets as children of the XmForm dialog. We would appreciate any suggestions on laying out XmForms (with attachments), especially when resetting the XmNunitType resource. Thanks in advance... -- Bill Romanowich (roman@Kodak.COM) UUCP : ...!uunet!rochester!kodak!roman USMail : DEC VMS Imaging, ISPD, Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, NY 14653-5819 Phone : (716) 726 - 0217 DVI Software Development
