My wife and I just "won" a trip to Club Caribbean in Jamaica. We get 6
days/ 5 nights and airfare for one. We can go anytime before Dec 31,
1985. We have some questions and are understandably dubious about
accepting such a "free" gift. (We "won" it by looking at a timeshare
resort in Vermont.)
1) What is Jamaica like?
2) When should we go?
3) Do we need passports?
4) How expensive are things (food etc...)?
is USA currency accepted?
5) What is Club Caribbean like? In Feldings (sp?) Guidebook to
the Caribbean it said "see F's Economy Guide", and when we
looked at that there was no mention of it. Some other
guidebook mentioned it but just barely. "116 cottage-like
villas (called Rondovels) with private beach, tennis,
swimming, outdoor entertainment pavilion, "swing bar", disco
(yeech!)" It is located in Runaway Bay. It is/ could it be
a real dump? How noisy is it? (We spend a lot of vacation
time in New England country inns.)
We'd appreciate any info at all. Please please please don't clutter up
the net with replies, send them to me and I will (I promise!) summarize
to net.travel. As I am unsure of my mail/news feeds stability I will
acknowledge all responses so if you don't get an ack, please resend it.
