My wife and I are planning a trip to SF this summer. We would appreciate any suggestions regarding things to do and places to see in this town and in the surrounding area.

One of the most obvious things to do if you are in the San Francisco area is to head north to the Napa Valley and the vineyards. If you do, and you feel like splurging for lunch, stop at the restaurant at Domaine Chandon. Two of us recently spent $80 for lunch there, and we consider it to have been a bargain.
