The Program Committee for SUG Atlanta, SPARC: Hardware and Software, will be giving an award to the best Student-Authored Paper The award will be $250 plus free conference registration two free hotel nights at the Atlanta Hilton & Towers. To be considered, please note your student status on your submission to the program committee. Multiply-authored papers by (e.g.) a student and her/his advisor are eligible. In the case of a paper by more than one student, the award will be adjusted, but not by whole-number multipliers. ------------------------------- Call for Papers: Summer 1991 Sun User Group Conference Hilton Hotel and Towers, Atlanta, GA, June 17-19, 1991 SPARC: HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE The Sun User Group is pleased to host this summer conference which will address SPARC technology. Technical papers and presentations concerning SPARC hardware and software, as well as other matters of interest to the Sun/SPARC community are invited. Manufacturers of computer equipment based on SPARC technology are encouraged to participate in this conference. Submissions should be in the form of extended abstracts (750 to 1000 words) and be sufficiently complete to allow the committee to understand and judge the submission. Abstracts should include: 1. Author name(s), postal and e-mail address(es), and telephone number(s). 2. Time needed for presentation. [Slots are 30 minutes and 1 hour.] 3. Audio-visual presentation requirements. Authors whose submissions are accepted will receive instructions for the preparation of final papers which will be published in the conference proceedings. Abstracts due: March 25, 1991 Notifications to authors: April 5, 1991 Final papers due: May 6, 1991 *Student Papers: There will be an award for the best student *paper.
