[misc.forsale.computers] Cp/M machines for sale

Azog-Thoth@cup.portal.com (William Thomas Daugustine) (08/02/90)

I have about four CP/M machines that I would like to get rid of.
I call it rotating my stock:-)

Xerox 820-II, with two Quantum 2020 8" 20meg hard drives, two 5.25"
floppy drives. This used to be a CP/M BBS, so I have quite a bit
of software for it, plus some other stuff on floppies. It was modified
to support both the 8"ers and the 5.25". It may be easy to add an
8" flop in place of the 5.25", but I havent researched it. $200, or BO.

Two Kaypro IIs. One is marked as a Kaypro II, and works like a champ.
the other is just marked Kaypro, but is identical to its brother,
and is missing the keyboard cable. This is the kind of cable you use
on your telephone handset, and can get at radio shack for about $5.
Otherwise it also works like a champ.
$50 each, or BO

Now for the bizzare machine.

I placed this is an ad about 2-3 months back, and thought I had a taker
for it, but was screwed over twice, so now I offer it again.

This is a prototype machine built cira 1977. Has two SSSD 8" floppy
drives, 8080 cpu, about 48k RAM, two monitors: one is a large 14" screen,
for 'normal' output, The other is a 5" screen, used for debugging purposes.
Its in a rack about 4' high, and 2' square. I have -all- the material
that was developed for this machine, plus a bunch of other books to go
with it. This unit is FREE to whomever picked it up in NJ. Due to the sheer
size, I -will not!- ship it!

Also, I would prefer to sell the Xerox to a person local to NJ, also
due to its size, but if push comes to shove, I can ship it.

Trades are accepted. Trades considered are DEC equipment, such as PDP-11
periphials.
