I've got two extra VAXstation one systems that I'm considering selling. I'd like to sell them as complete systems, but if your need is great I can break them up. two BA23 enclosures two uVax1 CPUs (M7135?) 5 Meg DEC memory total (M7551-CA?) two RQDX1 disk controllers two RD52 ~30 meg hard drives two RX50 400k dual floppy drive units two upgraded DEQNA Q-Bus ethernet adapters two Video cards (VCB01) two each of Monitor (VRxxx), keyboard (LK201-xx), mouse (?) one RQDX1-E for adding second disk one DZV-11 or DHV-11 (can't remember) which adds 4 asynch ports some documentation also available The machines are capable of running VMS5.0-2, some not-too-recent version of Ultrix, and probably BSD (I haven't tried). It could make a nice home machine -- you could tie it to a network via asynch DECnet or SLIP. After using a workstation at home I'll never go back to PC-class machines, but I've got more workstations than I need now. I'm asking $1650 for a system with 2meg of RAM and the VAXstation configuration (monitor, keyboard, mouse, VCB01). I'll take off $150 if you don't want the DEQNA, and $300 if you want it as a microvax instead of a VAXstation, making a basic system with no networking go for $1200. If you want the RQDX1-E or the 4-port card, add $75. If you want the fifth 1-meg board, add $150. If you want, I've got several spare vampire transcievers and drop cables and I could throw a set in for another $100 or so. If somone buys both systems, I'll throw in a minimalist length of ethernet backbone cable for free, and I'll help you set up a tiny ethernet at home! (This is what I have in my house and I love it.) If you don't like my prices, make me an offer! -- Doug DeJulio dd26@andrew.cmu.edu 412-422-2089 (answering machine)
