The Iowa Student Computer Association has the following system for sale:
Apollo DN3500 System:
68030 25 Mhz
4 Meg RAM
1280 X 1024 B/W display, keyboard, mouse
Apollo Token Ring network card
670 Meg ESDI drive (Maxtor XT-8760E)
5 1/4 High Density Floppy
ESDI & SCSI adaptor (WD7000V-ASE)
3 Serial ports
Domain OS 10.2 (includes Aegis, 4.3BSD and Sys 5.3)
Price: $4,500
For those not familiar with Apollo computers, this runs Aegis (Apollos
own OS), Unix 4.3BSD, and Sys 5.3 unix. It can run it's own window system
or X windows. The computer has IBM AT compatible expansion slots for
adding useful things such as: IBM Token Ring, Ethernet, Serial ports, 2nd
hard disk controller, etc) Max memory is 32 Meg. The computer is a little over
1 year old and is actually still a current model. (List price on this
config from HP/Apollo today is close to $20,000!)
