When the company I used to work for went out of business owing me money, I inherited their two 4th Dimensions. I'm keeping one, and offering the other for sale. This was upgraded from the original 4D (1.0). The one I am selling *does not have manuals with it*, as it was my company's second copy, and we already had the manuals for the first copy; one set of manuals was all we needed. *However*, the manuals can still be purchased from Acius, Inc.; the cost is $160. If you don't know anything about 4D, but are interested, drop me a line; I'll be glad to talk about it. It's a database program, but more importantly it's a database programming language. This is ideal for the company or individual who currently has one or more copies of 4D, and could use another full-fledged programmer's copy. If you don't really need the manuals, then you're getting a great deal on this. I'm looking for $200 for this. I'll include the original 4D 2.0 disks, the current 2.1.1 disks, and your serial and registration numbers, so you'll be ready to go. In addition, I'll include a letter transferring ownership from me to you, that you can send to Acius. Please note: if you want to buy the manuals, you'll have to get in touch with Acius and pay them $160 (plus some s&h, probably). My shipping costs are included in your $200. According to the latest MacConnection ad, 4D is running for $489 from the mail order houses. If you buy the manuals, you're saving $120, or 1/4 the normal price. If you just want the software, you get it for less than half what it would normally cost you. -- R David Francis francis@cis.ohio-state.edu
