[net.travel] Nice B&B in North Yorkshire

crickman@umn-cs.UUCP (10/01/85)

Last May we spent a very enjoyable 3 weeks in Britian. We found a nice B&B
in the Yorkshire Dales which I wanted to encourage people who
love hiking, riding or generally appreciating hilly country filled with farms
and sheep to consider. The Dales are rather like the Lake District, but far lesscrowded with foreign tourists. The place is Bridge End Farm. It is located in
the town of Grassington. The owner cheerfully spent half an hour sugggesting
places of local color which we might visit and marked our map to help us find
our way around. The home cooking was very fine and the evening fires were
not only cosy, but allowed us to meet the other guests who were British. I havea few copies of their brochure which just arrived, I will send one to the first three requestors from the net who might be planning a trip including North
Yorkshire. The cost for their rooms is L 10 for room and breakfast, or
L 18 for dinner, room and breakfast. The location is about one hours drive
from the City of York. And no, I don't receive any cut on trade sent to them,
I'm sharing with you a pleasure I found and hope might please you, too.
