I plan head to Greece for my Honeymoon in mid-November, with a possible side-trip to Turkey while I'm there. Does anybody have information about the weather in Greece, esp. Crete around that time of year? Is it swimmable? Also, I would welcome suggestions on how to travel to Turkey and where I should try to arrive. We were planning to take a ferry there & spend just a couple of days somewhere around Izmir. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The weather at this time is fairly cold(10C) in Athens and may be a little warmer in Creete but still cold for swimming. > Also, I would welcome suggestions on how to travel to Turkey > and where I should try to arrive. If you are in the mainland the best way is to fly from Athens to Istanbul. It is a short and cheap trip. You can take the boat to Izmir from Rodes. This can even be a daily trip. If you need additional info send me some mail and I'll be glad to help. Nikos.
