Microsoft has just released an upgrade for Excel to version 3.0 which supports various features of Apple's System 7.0. I decided to buy a new copy of Excel rather than upgrade to the version 3.0 under Microsoft's _disappointing_ upgrade policy, which turns out to be nearly worthless; $129 for the upgrade versus $120 new at academic prices. I am sure that this will still be useful to someone, however. I'll pass along all original diskettes and manuals, and I will write you a letter transferring license rights; note that you will only be able to upgrade legally if you are yourself eligible for the academic deal. Disclaimers aside, this is an excellent piece of software that is better suited to 68000-based Macs than version 3.0, which uses > 1500 K of RAM just to load. I'll accept any reasonable offer that's makes it worth my while to package and ship it. -- Bill (johnston@minnie.me.udel.edu)
