> I have also heard that Old Faithful has not been to faithful lately. Does > anyone have any information about that? It is still quite faithful. I was there in August. It used to be really reliable (in terms of time between eruptions) Now, it varies from 45 minutes up to 80 minutes between eruptions. (much more regular than most of the geysers.) The eruptions aren't always breathtakingly spectacular, but I wouldn't say they were disappointing. You don't have to worry about it not erupting while you're there. (Unless they have more major earthquakes up there. (They had two or three minor ones right after I left.) That's why Old Faithful isn't quite as faithful as it used to be.) Brian H.
