[comp.sys.amiga.games] Robotron?

brett@smosjc.UUCP (Brett Coon) (06/07/90)

Does anyone know of any Robotron clones or similar games for the Amiga?
If a good version of this game is available, I want it. If not, then
I plan to write one.

oh, boy! If you could write one that would be great!

I haven't ever seen one for the amiga but had one on my 64 that was too
hard simply because you could only fire in the direction that you were
walking... kinda took away the fact that it was robotron.

make it! make it! but change some things so that it would sell!
hehehe

As a start to cloning 'robotron' you might want to look at the graphics
for 'marketroid' on of the BADGE demos (on some fish disk). It has
bitmaps drawn of all (?) of the robotron characters (including some
of the special people from amiga (rj, dale, etc.)

Watch out -- Spectrum Holobyte may see that your version is popular
and decide to market their own, then threaten to sue you after the fact.
(only half a smiley here...)

I want Robotron 2084 too!!! Especially for Amiga!!! I would like to
see a faithful reproduction of this anarchial game, including that colorful
"zoom" to the next wave, and with those nasty cruise missiles! I also would
like to see some clever extensions to it also (say..."Do you want to play the
classical or the extended one"? and one would respond with appropriate code)
Thanx for any effort, messages, etc.
