I've recently bought RISK (by Virgin Mastertronics), but I can't seem to get it to execute unless I boot from floppy. The s/startup-sequence just says 'Risk'. I've tried assigning LIBS: to the floppy's 'libs', and SYS: to the floppy itself, but after loading for < 5 secs, a screen appears with the message 'Error during setup!'. My normal HD startup loads WorkBench (1.3) and mounts several extra devices and installs extra utilities. I can terminate the utilities, but I can't unmount the devices. The only thing that I can think of is that the HD startup procedure uses too much chip RAM (I only have 512K). I seem to remember seeing discussion about this before, but I wasn't paying attention then :-). Any help will be appreciated. Marcel A. The problem is with two parts of putting Risk on the hard drive. The first is the font directory path. Dont ask me how they do it but if your font directory is found by a path that is more than a certain length, it wont boot. The second is that it is very fussy about the current directory, and sys: directory. I have an Icon, an XICON script, and a directory setup that all work fine. I am at my office now but if you send me a responce that you want them, Ill ship them to your account. Erick S. Dyke -- ESDYKE AT MTUS5
