Hi all you games freaks...

I would like to know what back-to-back games are available for the Amiga, as
they are great fun.... currently i know of the following titles, can anyone
add to this/recommend any i haven't tried, and if there are any people out
there who are into writing games software, make it back-to-back!

Please pardon my ignorance, but what EXACTLY does back-to-back mean? Does it
mean you can play these games with two computers in the same room connected by
a cable, or does it mean you can play them via modem? Or what?

Also, is there anyone else out there who would like to see more of these kinds
of games?

Thank you in advance,

-Ralph

I'm guessing you're right, and in that case:

YES. I have Stunt Track Racer and it is superb in the head-to-head mode (well,
that's what *I* call it...). I realize a lot of people don't have more than
one Amiga (hey, used A-1000s are CHEAP, folks, get one as a backup like I did!)
or even more than one computer, and it's not always possible to tolerate modem-
speed communications... but if you are going to make a game which can have two
players, see if you can't let them play by modem...if not, then through a null-
modem cable. The extra 5% of games you sell simply because of that and not
necessarily because of game quality would almost certainly pay you back for the
extra effort.

I plan to buy FirePower, an old tank game, as soon as I can find it, JUST
because it can be played over a modem. It'll be the fourth commercial game
I've ever purchased. Yep, I'm a BIG gamer I am (6'1"...).

I've played firepower, and over the modem. It's worth buying... most
impressive. Probly better for when two people are completely smashed-- there
seems to be nothing better in the world to do than blow up everything. Lotsa
laughs.

Howdy! I'm a soon-to-be A3000 owner who used to swear by IBM. (I'm much
better, now...) There was a game there that was absolutely the best I ever saw
and would be heaven on earth on an Amiga (if well done.) It's called
MECHWARRIOR. If this game IS available on the Amiga...

     1) Is it Head to Head yet?
     2) Will it run on a 3000?
     3) Are the graphics better than on the IBM?

     Danke!
