I was at AmiExpo in L.A. this weekend. FTL was demoing Dungeon Master II: Chaos Strikes Back. Actually it is labeled Dungeon Master Expansion Set I. The games is quite similar to the original Dungeon Master game. You do need to have the first game to play the sequel, you can use your previous characters or start with new ones, but it's awful hard if you use new characters. If you import your old characters you will keep all of your abilities and attributes, but lose all armor and clothing. One VERY nice feature in the Amiga version that wasn't included with the Atari version is a map scroll. When you hold this scroll in your hand it will show you a map of the 48 squares surrounding you at any time. It will show most objects and monsters and also what is hallway and what is solid rock. It is not an auto-mapping feature, however it will help you to map yourself. It simply shows you what is around your immediate area. They are going into final testing for the Amiga version now and expect to ship in 8 weeks. Also, availabe now is "Dungeon Master: The Album". No kidding. They were selling the CD's there at the show for about $13. ========================================================================== \ / \ \ / / Sean Schur \ \ / / \ \/ / USENET: schur@isi.edu \ /a\mpyr/ Compuserve: 70731,1102 \/ \ / ideo Plink: OSS259 \/ =========================================================================
