[comp.sys.amiga.games] Shadow of The Beast I - is it really impossible ?

tlim@ucscb.ucsc.edu (My Brain Hurts) (10/20/90)

Shadow of The Beast is definitely NOT unplayable. I asked a while
back for someone to post any cheat modes for this game, but got no
response, so I gritted my teeth, grabbed that joystick, and put in
a few more hours on this game. Now I can regularly solve it, like
most good coin-op arcade games all it takes is a little reflexes
and even less memorization. The one thing about SOTB I did not
like is the ending. Either I'm not doing something right, or
all there is is one congradulations screen. Very disappointing.

On a side note, seen the Killing Game Show. Looks very good,
takes more memorization than SOTB but you can restart where you
died, and start at any level as well. Graphics are impressive,
sound effects/music even more so. Right up there with Power Monger
on my list of games to get next (unfortuanately Power Monger isn't
out yet).
