"Wing Leader" I believe.

--SIGH-- They won't be able to match the graphics, 'cause we can't get 256
colors on screen in a highly animatable (is this a real word?) fashion. Just
another example of how Commodore had better get it's rear end in gear with
respect to higher end graphics. (I sure as h*ll don't want to end up writing
assembly code for Intel 80x86 chips...)

I'm not aware of any plans to release an Amiga version. Any game that limits
itself in respect to what hardware must be owned may also end up restricting
the machine it is released on (besides, the Amiga market just doesn't count
that much, while VGA is becoming fairly common on IBM systems). I feel like
a prophet of doom or something, but I _do_ believe that Commodore must really
stress advancement if it is to catch up with the rest of the market. (And
hopefully that's exactly what they are doing. I mean, c'mon, we know they're
capable of it, right?)

Well, we can do better than that. Try 4096 colors on screen! Take a look
at Pioneer Plague and Knights of the Chrystallion. Both use HAM mode
and are very colorful and very fast.

Its Wing Commander, not Wing Leader. Origin
changed the name at the last minute due to conflict
with a board-game called Wing Leader.

Great game, runs a bit slow on anything but a 386.
Real memory-hog too. But don't despair, ive been
playing some mega-cool amiga games like Rick
Dangerous II (!), Cadavar, and Spellbound
(psygnosis). Great games. All from overseas...

I disagree, Spellbound is stupid! Mediocre graphics, and sound.
And it's just not fun to play! Don't buy it!

Some of my favorites are:

Wings
KGS
Intact
Zapharg II

If you haven't seen these, GET THEM!

I think someone should keep a list of games that are "High-quality".
Anyone interested? If not, maybe I'll do it.

About Wing Commander's graphics.....(sit down please)
....they were all created on an Amiga!
(now get pissed off)
Is Origin in league with Sega?
They say: "Hey guys, lets screw those Amiga nerds over..."
"we'll show 'em what their machine can REALLY do!...
                ON AN I*M (or Genisis!!"
ARRRRGGHH!!!!

Believe me I am!

I'm beginning to wonder...

Reminds me of a skit on Saturday Night Live last night..."What was I thinking?"

They create a game with fantastic graphics (by IBM standards) on an Amiga
and don't release an Amiga version??? What's wrong with this picture?

RICK DANGEROUS II!!!!! Where can I get a copy? Who sells it??? I played
Rick Dangerous I all of last year, and didn't get a smidgen of work done
because of it - I'm getting far too much done right now - how can I get the
sequel? Does it live up to the original???? WOW!!!!
What about those other games you mentioned - what're they like? Where'd you
get them all???
                Thanks for the info -

You need to pick up a european gaming magazine. I
subscribe to The One. There are others like C+VG,
Zzap, etc, etc. Inside are mail-order forms. I
call them and order any exciting new games I see and
must have (I've only ordered RDII and SoB I). It
costs a lot, I haven't recieved my visa bill yet [oh
yes, you need a CC to order, otherwise you will have
to send a international money order] but I believe
SoB I cost me $65 us. RD II is very good.

BTW, since the british games are in pal, I had to
use the pal2ntsc (which i found on gEnie) to fix the
screen display.
