Although I lived for more than 20 years relatively close to the Hague, i had difficulties to recall the most interesting sites. Hosting the government buildings and most of the embassies, it has defenitely some international flavor. Having an ancient history, there are a lot of old buildings and houses to visit. It has some nice museums, to mention e.g. one having a famous collection of musical instruments (Gemeente Museum?), another dedicated to the work of Mesdag, (realistic huge paintings of early 1900 the Hague). Attached to the Hague, is Scheveningen, famous for its seaside restaurants, Pier and Kurhaus (an ancient luxury hotel). Another interesting place to visit is Madurodam, which is a huge collection of small scale replica's of places and buildings from all over Holland, (i'm not sure if it is open in the winter season). Further there are excellent train connections to other interesting places. For example Delft (10 min.), Amsterdam (30 min) and Rotterdam (30 min) are really worth a visit. I hope this give you some idea about what to expect.
