[comp.sys.amiga.games] F18 mysterious base location

I have seen no fewer than 5 postings in the last few weeks concerning F-18
and the mysterious location that you are sent to when you press 0 instead
of 1-4 when entering the free flight mode.  What I have not seen is a 
definative answer as to where exactly you are sent.  If you look at your
coordinates once you are in the cockpit you will see 34N 118.3W, which when
located on a map put you directly in the heart of Los Angeles.  So, my guess
is that you are at Los Angeles International Airport and not some F-18
test site, or secret base.  Interesting that this happens, but more
interesting is the question, why?  EA?
