A point was made in the IBM <-> amiga for games thread. Amigas do not have Hard Disks. Unfortunatly this IS true to a degree, but is changing. I did some work for the GVP importer here in Australia. The number of HD we sell has made GVP smile as we sell more HD per population then anywhere in the world. this is not mentioning the fact that Commodore has released there 590 for 799 dollars AUST which is CHEAP over here. (its a piece of crap but does the job) Many people who have amigas and see one with a HD are very surprised to see the amiga FLY so High and fast compaired to a 2 floppy system. Commodore has seen the light and sells amigas here with HD deals now, as Commodore U.S. sells 3000 ONLY with HDs. My point here is, IF HD where a MORE common item on amigas, the commercial software for the amiga would have been larger by now. (imagin the games!!!) Look at an IBM At/XT without a HD. Its nothing more then a games machine like a standalone 500 unit. Using floppies NOW is a Painful experience and only done when moving commercial software to the HD, backing up or playing games.
