I plan on going to Europe in the Spring, hitting England, France,
and Italy. This time I'd like to do it driving. I'm flexible
enough in my plans that I can start at either end (that is, Italy or
England). I would appreciate any information (preferably first hand)
about good and bad experiences in renting or leasing an auto for
this type of excursion. I plan to be gone for about a month. I
really don't feel up to learning to drive a right hand drive British
car, though driving a left hand drive in London is truly an interesting
experience.
Any names of reliable rental/leasing companies here in the states or
in Europe would be appreciated. What about crossing borders? What
about driver's license?
