I'm currently playing with the idea of a multi-user tank game using the Unix system here as a host and client/server for all the amiga users. As far as I can see, it has been a sinch. MY biggest problem has been making an acceptable amiga "game" (or terminal) for it. Don't laugh now: All my efforts for the terminal now have been in amigabasic. Why you ask? I don't know how to do graphics in Amiga C and I'm not sure how to do them in Pascal either (I have the PCQ pd pascal compiler..its pretty nice). All I want to be able to do is display saved images (DPaint brushes) on the screen. If you have some routines that demonstrate using the modem port in PCQ pascal, I would kill for them! If you had some demonstrating display of Dpaint brushes in it, I might even pay you. haha. Anyway, If I get the needed information, I may feel the need to give the program to the comp.sources.amiga group or something. The unix end is easy. The communications between the two could be a problem...but i think I have that solved. Are there any games like this existing? I heard something about flight simulator and genie or something like that, but I'm talking PD unix programs.
