[comp.sys.amiga.games] Star Trek 3

ddyer@hubcap.clemson.edu (Doug) (11/19/90)

Hi. I just downloaded the StarTrek3 game from abcfd20 and have a question.
The display is for PALS, and cuts off the lower part of the screen. I tried
running PAL and then starTrek, but found the display smaller and the cutoff
still there.

I take it the screens have just been cropped for NTSC. Is there a PAL
version out there?

By the way, it worked flawlessly on the A3000. So does DragonCave,
arcanoid I,II and STUNT CAR RACER - the best by a long shot :)

bye

The version I have has a NTSC patch that it runs first, which shrinks the
screen by approximately half, but I am able to see the full display. I think
this is the PAL version, because without running that patch, the buttons at
the bottom of my screen are rendered useless. Anyone else want to elaborate?

BTW, I'm glad to hear it runs on an A3000!! That's one more program that will
be a permanent fixture on my hard drive. ;-)
