[comp.sys.amiga.games] Monday Night Football

For those of you thinking about buying Monday Night Football, save your money!!
It really isn't worth the time. The sound is terrible. It only comes out of
one speaker and the voices are not even digitized. I played it on an IBM
(a friend's of course, I'd never own one :-), and the Amiga version looked and
sounded pretty much the same. I would not believe Data East would rip an IBM
version and put it on the Amiga, but it looks like that is all they did!

BTW, anyone heard about TV Sports Baseball? Over here at Software City in
Houston, the salesman said that they were shooting for a Christmas release date
sometime. I hope so. I saw a picture of it on the back of some other Amiga
magazine (SOftware and Information or something like that) and it looked great!
I hope it is not as easy to win as the other TV Sports games have been though.
So far on Football, I've gone 16-0 twice and won the Championship. In
basketball, yep, you guessed it, 24-0 (or 22-0 I can't remember), and won the
champioinship. IT GETS OLD!!!!!!

That's interesting. When I talked to a dealer near me about a
month ago, he also said that Cinemaware was shooting for a Christmas
release, but was then later told by a rep at Cinemaware that the
Amiga version was being put aside INDEFINATELY due to "hardware
problems" (whatever that means!). I certainly hope it comes out
though. I haven't seen a baseball for the Amiga that combines both
great play with the sound and graphics of the Amiga. We'll see...
