On the Spectrum (UGH!) and Amstrad CPC (UGH!) you used to be able to
get into Witch Space by pausing the game, hitting F, unpausing, and
hyperspacing. You do it again to get out. This doesn't work on the Amiga
version unfortunately.
On the Spectrum version you could cheat by loading the game, when asked
if you want to load a new commander, you say yes, but in stead of loading
onew you save it...it gives you 650 million credits, most of the hardware,
cargo with about 255 tonnes of everything, and you're right at the start
of the first mission.
Another way to cheat on the spectrum version was to hit hyperspace,
and before you hyperspace you dock again, and you'll end up docked in
the station you were going to, without having to tangle with pirate
son the way. If you did this with a galactic hyperspace, you could hyperspace
right across the same galaxy in one go...
