Why? M. Minasi A wonderful, terrific, fabulous game I played on a decked-out IBM a few months ago and which is now out on the Amiga, better than ever. >his words "stop the system dead". So Star Control is available >for the amiga (works on A2000 and A3000 last I heard)-- does it >support multitasking? Because one of the pluses he mentions for Oddly enough, yes. Mostly. The game is not copy protected, EASILY hard disk installable, EXITS CLEANLY and returns you to WorkBench (!) after play, and kinda supports multitasking while playing - in that it won't allow you access to other screens (haven't tried it during pause mode, come to think of it) but it won't stop other programs so autodialers and such can still run. But even so it's graphically and auditorily one of the best games I've seen in a while! I'll be posting a complete review as soon as I get further into the strategy portion of the game - for the time being, I'm having too much fun in Melee mode! (this morning I killed an Ur-Quan Dreadnaught AND an Androsynth Guardian with ONE Ariloulaleelay (sp?) Skiff, and the computer was on "Awesome" skill level... top that, folks!) (BTW: it is code-wheel protected, but they even make THAT part of the game fun by giving you a cute little background paragraph to read while you're twirling the dials) . <<<<Infinite K>>>> -- |Ben Scott, professional goof-off and consultant at The Raster Image, Denver| |FIDO point address 1:104/421.2, bscott@isis.cs.du.edu, or BBS (303)424-9831| |"Spent 4 hours burying the cat!"
