When Walt Disney was alive, he wanted to build an
Experimental Prototype Community, i.e., EPCOT.
Unfortunately Disney died before EPCOT could be
implemented according to his plans. After his
death, the Disney Corporation decided that Walt's
ideals for EPCOT would not maximize profit, so they
changed completely the original concept.
EPCOT is another "theme park" where you pay to get in
and then you are gee-whizzed by all the nifty exhibits
and decorations. There is nothing "Experimental" about
EPCOT. EPCOT is not a "Prototype" and it is not a
"Community." No one lives at EPCOT, as Walt Disney had
intended. Walt must be turning over in his grave.
