I am preparing for another games order and I would like to know a few important points about the following games, if anyone would like to comment: Dungeon Master II Shadow of the Beast II Drakkhen It Came from the Desert Wings Prince of Persia The Immortal Future Wars Pirates 1) Is it compatible with the Amiga 3000 (or have you tried it on a 68020/68030 equipped machine)? 2) How "nasty" is the copy protection (can you run from HD, does it make your disk grind, or is it prone to disk failure <ala Shadow of the Beast I etc.> )? 3) If you want to offer, what are your subjective opinions on the game? Terse answers are welcome, I will summarize and post answers. Thankyou much for any help. - Kurt Kurt Geisel SNAIL : Carnegie Mellon University 65 Lambeth Dr. ARPA : kg19+@andrew.cmu.edu Pittsburgh, PA 15241 UUCP : uunet!nfsun!kgeisel "We just need to short-circuit the continuum on a BIX : kgeisel 5 or 6 parsec level." - Forbidden Planet

DM II: on-disk copy protection, makes no problems. Rest of disk has ADOS Format. Without modification (patching) the game won't run on HD, but I'm quite sure, that you WILL be able to get in on your HD... SOFTB II: on-disk protection, long-tracks, may cause problems Drakkhen: on-disk protection, one long track, does cause problems :-) Came from desert: off-disk protection, ADOS format, HD installable. Wings: off-disk protection, ADOS format, HD installable Prince of persia: on-disk protection but i dunno the format. Immortal: sorry... Future Wars: off-disk protection, ADOS format, HD installable (a little tricky). Pirates: off-disk protection (a little stupid), ADOS format, HD installable > 3) If you want to offer, what are your subjective opinions on the > game? Ratings are from 0 (worst) to 10 (best). DM II: The greatest game available on the amiga by now. Rating: 10 SOTBII: Great graphics and sound, better than SOTB I, but I won't buy it. Rating: 4 Drakkhen: A good RPG, not as difficult as they say (if you play with an illegal copy the game will run, but it will be unplayable hard :-)). I solved the game, and it has fulfilled my expectations. Rating: 8 Wings: Sort of a "little" Wing Commander. One of the best playable Cinemawares. By the way, it's getting boring after a short while. Rating: 6 Prince of Persia: Has the smoothest animnation I ever saw on an arcade game. It's very good Jump & Run with some real hard puzzles to solve. They put some very good ideas in it. By the way, the amiga version is a little to slow. Rating: 8 Immortal: locked good, but i haven't played it since now. No rating. Future Wars: A great adventure if you like Sierra-like games. It has a fantastic story in my opinion. I think it's even better than the successor "Operation Stealth". The only negative point ist the handling. Rating: 8 Pirates: What should I write about this great program by Sid Meier? The amiga version is the best available so far. Rating: 9 From the above games I bought Pirates, Future Wars, Drakkhen and DM II. The other games were reviewed at my local store. ZdS!
