[comp.sys.amiga.games] DMII - Hand quicker than eye

%Yes, this has happened to me too once (yesterday). It happened as I was
%repeatedly knocking on the wall (out of frustration :-) ). The hand
%disappeared but I could still play by guesswork.

%c>During one suc h session, one of my champions also disappeared. That is,
%c>his icon disappeared from the top right corner of my screen, but his

%That also happened when my hand disappeared. I figured that I had clicked
%on the character without knowing it. I tried my best to click back on that
%spot, and it came back.

%DMII seems to be crashing much more often than DM ever did. It has become
%almost unplayable my friend's computer (2000, 2meg extra on 8-up board(?),
%GVP 100meg). On my system it tends to do wierd things from time time, and I
%have a 500w/A590 hard drive, 2 meg total. Would it be having problems with
%expansion memory?

I have had no problems with the original DM or CSB crashing or the pointer
disappearing, or anything. I played DM for a long time and have played CSB
since right after it started selling and never saw the pointer problem or
had a crash yet. In fact, as game stability goes, I rate DMII as one of the
best on the market.

Just my 2 cents.

BTW I have A2000 with Fat Agnus, Supra RAM w/ 2 Meg & Supra WordSync 100M
Quantum.

Yes, I had the same problem. As a matter of fact, it has happened about 5 times
now! I think it happens when you check to see if the wall is false/fake. If
you hit it more than once(say double click the mouse) is when I found this to
happen. The only way to correct this is by selecting save game/quit. Good luck
because your pointer is gone, so you have to guess!
I had the time of my life when this happened, becuase I was running for my
life from Choas. What a joy! Has anyone here called FTL to check this out?
I'm using v3.01 I think, old Agnus, 1.2 Roms, and 1 meg.

Anybody find the firestaff yet? Also, I tried to rejuvenate some of the bones
lying around, but no luck. Killed one of my guys for nothing. Thanks god for
saved games!!!

I haven't found the firestaff yet, myself. I figure I'll
probably be old and gray before I finish this one.

BTW, a lot of people have sent me email about my earlier questions re DMII,
and I have answered that mail. However, I just found out today that mail
may not have been leaving this site. So, don't think I'm rude because I
didn't thank you....I was OBE.
