We're a group of 6-8 soon-to-be grads who are planning to do some heavy relaxing this April. We are contemplating going to a spot with the following: 1) Hot Hot Hot 2) Ocean for General Water Activities 3) Room to breathe (not very touristy) 4) Duration: 2 weeks 5) Cost: $850 (Canadian) roughly / person Does anyone out there have a favourite location that fits the bill? Thanks in advance, Peter Koning Glenn Langford & co.

I think that you're going to have a pretty tough time finding any place that's "hot, hot, hot" in April with the exception of maybe near the equator. And you ain't gonna get there for $850...especially Canadian. I'd suggest Baja, California...near the tip at either Cabo San Lucas or a little further north, the name of the town eludes me at present. The average temperature at that time of the year is around 85 (daytime) and in the low 70's at night. I've been to Baja many times, although I admit not that far down, and have yet to have a bad experience. And if you want room to breathe and a rustic atmosphere, Baja is the place for you. Plenty of water activities (actually, that's about all there is) and fairly cheap. If you can get to San Diego from Ontario as cheaply as possible, you can fly to Cabo San Lucas for under $200 round trip which includes a hotel room for up to sikx nights. Of course, that means flying from Tijuana, not San Diego, and on one of the Mexican airlines (names also elude me at this moment). Good luck! Tom Moore Bell Labs ihnp4!ihuxi!moore1

You want Hot Hot Hot in April? I know of only one place that really fits the bill. Come, spend your vacation in lovely HELL. Yes, that's right, Hell is the place for YOU! Our brimstone springs keep Hell a lovely warm climate all year long. For water activities, take an adventurous dive into our molten seas, or just relax on the crimson shores with fellow souls of like mind. Collect cankerworms as souvenirs of your visit. Or mine for sulphur at our famous Brimstone Caverns. There is lots of room in Hell. Many people think we are crowded, judging from the number of people who already make their home here, but Hell has 9 regions to accomodate any taste. Some regions allow you stand-up coffee breaks in addition to the aerobic handstand activities in our well-fertilised garden rooms. Yes, there are many tourists here, but most who visit will make Hell their home and stay here forever. Two week vacations are really rather short for stays in Hell. You will want to make longer arrangements, for once you visit you may never leave it. You really cannot see all there is to see in Hell in only two weeks. We have so much to see and experience, and there are lots of natives you will want to meet. $850 is no problem at all. In fact, all it requires for a lifetime condo in Hell is one immortal soul, and you can use our convenient lay-away plan if you don't want to pay immediately. So come home to Hell. It's a great place to spend an eternity. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Dave Kirby ( ...!ihnp4!akgua!cylixd!dave)
