The subject line says it all. I am interested in hearing opinions from people who have played DragonStrike on the Amiga. I am especially interested in how DragonStrike on the A3000 stacks up against 386 VGA clones with an Adlib or SoundBlaster sound board. How does the sound/music compare? Updating speeds? I really like the program on a 386 VGA PC, and am thinking about getting it for the A3000. Thanks for any help you can offer. Jack Knight ARPA: jk44@andrew.cmu.edu

I have played through DragonStrike all 3 ways on the Amiga 3000, and I have played it for a few hours on a 386 PC. The A3000 version is somewhat faster, the VGA version has somewhat better graphics. Gameplay is about the same, sound on the Amiga version is better, at least as good as the SoundBlaster soundtrack, I thought Amiga sounded better. They are very comparable, but the VGA graphics are a little nicer, I do not know why, it is not the palette that makes them better, but rather the dragon bitmaps themselves are a bit nicer on the VGA version. Maybe that is why the A3000 version performs somewhat better than the PC version (even on a 33 Mhz 386) -Roger UUCP: {hplabs!hp-sdd ucsd nosc}!crash!pnet01!uzun ARPA: crash!pnet01!uzun@nosc.mil INET: uzun@pnet01.cts.com
