As part of a trip to a conference in June, I'm planning to spend four or five days hiking the length of a Swiss valley. After looking at a few guidebooks, I've pretty much settled on the Val Verzasca in Ticino. Has anyone out there ever been there? Although camping is a possibility, I'd prefer to spend the nights in reasonably priced hotels and pensions, but I'm not sure that such establishments exist there, since I don't think it's a heavily touristed area (one of the reasons I picked it). Does anyone have any information on this? Other areas that I considered are the Val d'Anniviers (Valais), Val Bregalia (Graubunden) and the Engadine (also Graubunden). If anyone has nice things to say about these areas I'd like to hear them, too. Thanks in advance. Wayne Citrin (ucbvax!citrin)
