[comp.sys.amiga.games] Running too fast

nwickham@triton.unm.edu (Neal C. Wickham) (02/17/91)

I'm sure this question has been asked before. I am a little new to this news
group. But, I have a friend who just bought and Amiga 3000 and several of
the games he has, run too fast on it. So I guess I have two questions.

1) Will the new games (ie 2.0) that are coming out now also run too fast
   on an 030 chip Amiga?

2) Is there something you can do to get games to run slower on an 030 chip
   Amiga?

                                           Thanks for any info,

                                                       NCW

	Of course.

Write to the pinheads responsible and inform them that you shall not
avail yourself of their wares until they support your machine.
More seriously, I'm told that if you can coax your machine into loading
the game entirely into chip ram (via NoFastMem or similar utilities) that it
will run at the speed of the custom chips. I happen to think that this is a
bit much to have to do on a multitasking machine just to play a game, but hey,
that's just me.
