I would appreciate any tips or suggestions on traveling in Spain. I may be traveling to Madrid in late May, 1986 and am considering a two week tour plan. I am interested in any airline flight recommendations, restaurants, hotels (all moderately priced of course). Any comments on Barcelona, Segovia, Madrid, museums, and/or shopping would be helpful, too. Should I be careful of what I eat and drink? I would leave from either New York, Washington, DC, or possibly Boston if the price was right. I would like to fly to either Madrid or within reasonable car/train traveling distance. Is Lisbon worth, making the effort to see? It seems far from Madrid. If possible, I would like to return from a city other than Madrid, perhaps Paris. To get to Paris, I was thinking of renting a car. I guess I would need an international drivers license. I don't have any restrictions other than being in the area of Madrid for at least 4 days around May 15. I plan on seeing a travel agent sometime soon and figure that a Super Saver ticket purchased 30 days before departure is the best deal I know of. Are charters a good way to go? Any suggestions for what to request of a travel agent? I will post a summary if the response warrants one. Thank You. Jerome Scriptunas ihnp4!hou2g!js3471 -- Jerome Scriptunas ihnp4!hou2g!js3471
