PowerMonger's an okay game, but I think I would enjoy it a lot more if I had the ability to play a human opponent. I have recently tried to hook up, via a null modem cable, a stock 68000 A2000 and my 25MHz A3000 so I could use the two player feature. I tried a number of different baud rates, following the instructions to the letter, to no avail. Anyone had any luck at all with PM's two-player mode? Could it be the extreme differences in speed between the two machines (the 3000 seemed to be attempting connections about a mile a minute compared to the 2000, about a 3-4:1 ratio.) I also have access to an upgraded '020 A500 which I could hook up to the A2000, but I haven"t tried it yet. I also was going to try hooking up two modems to the machines in an attempt to "slow down" the connections in an attempt to syncronize. Somehow I have my doubts about that one... Anyway, let me know if anyone has been more successful than I at connecting machines with different clock speeds. If possible, let me know via email. Thanx, Pat P.S. I don't know why people are COMPLAINING about the high speed at which PM runs on a 3000. It's GREAT! The rotates and scrolls are so nice it almost makes playing on a 68000 PAINFUL after a while! Another REALLY fun game to play at high speed is F/A-18 Interceptor. It's so easy to fly that plane that you can just sit back and enjoy the increased frame rate and smoothness... ////----------------------------------------------------------- Pat //// "Now that you have pulled the pin out of Mr. Grenade, (Spam?)////lipo@macc.wisc.edu he is no longer your friend." ////lipo@wiscmac3.BitNet --Sgt.
