[comp.sys.amiga.games] CSB help needed

I've cleaned out ~3 levels on each of the (original?) four paths
and run into a teleporter back to the "junction" at the "end" of
each of them. What am I missing???

I've done in 1 dragon, 12 or so knights, bunches of blue meanies,
mega mummies, grossses of golden spiders, etc etc and have collected
20 or so keys (most of which I can't seem to use).

The hardest set of puzzles was in getting the "Winged Key" (prove
you're a wizard, et al) but all it did was open a door to a hole
in the floor to the "Cistern" - (the sect. w/ the blue poisonous puddles).
I've used the "thief" map spell extensively (which helps *alot*) but I
keep finding the teleporters back to the junct.

RE: Help with CHAOS....hmmmm. I'm not sure I quite understand what 
you say. If you got the Winged Key, then you didn't just "open a hole 
in the floor". The Winged key opens a wall area behind which is a 
chest containing a very important item.
 
A lot of people have trouble "going on" in this game. It seems to 
them that they are going around in circles. However, if you have come 
to Level 7 DAIN, past a hallway containing a series of doors, and 
into a room after which the door will close after you, then this is 
ONE of the paths to Diabolical Demon Director Main Level. Another 
way is through the area containing Death Row and the Scorpion Level 
(level 5) There is a door that leads to a staircase up to Level 4 

(the levels are backwards in this game - the highest level is level 

1) It's tough to get a handle on where you are...I'd recommend DLing 
maps from one of your local BBSes. They can help a LOT.

I am stuck on level 7...  (DDD)
I came in through the ROS way , opened the coinslot room on level 6
,killed the big dragon , killed the stone golem on level 7 and level 8,
and that's about it.. i cant continue  .. i dont have the key to go
the KU way and all the other directions seem to be blocked by pits.
maybe the forcefield next to the 'thrust me' pit is the solution
but when i step into it nothing happens .
I especially want to close the pit two steps north of that forcefield
but how?
The only thing i can do now is go back to level 6 and then to level 5
and try another route (KU,DAIN or NETA)..
So what do i have to do??

RE: NO KEY FOR KU CORBUM.....Haven't you been getting the other mail 
I left for you? I outlined a whole page and a half telling you (or 
SOMEBODY) how to (a) Close the pit at the NE section of the DDD (b) 
how to get to the DAIN door and several other points. (sigh) OK. You 
close the pit that keeps you from getting to the ROS CORBUM PATH by 
going down to the NETA CORBUM ENTRANCE (the bit with the teleporting 
SKELETON) There is an 'eye' on the wall beside the KEYHOLE that took 
the TURQUOISE key. Hold a GREEN GEM or any object, really, up to the 
'eye'. Press the mousebutton. You will hear a click. You should now 

have closed the pit on the DDD..... You don't have the SOLID KEY FOR 
KU CORBUM? Well, you HAVE to go 'waaaayyyyy back down (I'm SURE I've 
told at LEAST 5 people this. Don't you read other mail?) Anyway. You 
have to go down to Level 10. Ground Zero. There is a RED DRAGON and 
PURPLE WORMS here. This is an area of KU (of course) and you get here 
from the section of KU that had all the MUMMIES and the 4 DETH KNIGHTS 
in the 4 alcoves. (remember?) So. Go down the stairs from the section 
with the doors and the MUMMIES. See the friendly neighbourhood DRAGON. 
Killing him will yield MANY items, not the least of which is, the 
SOLID KEY!!!! OK? Keep plugging away!

This point in the game, the DDD, is undoubtably the most difficult, and
probably the least intuitive area of the entire game..
 
Only the KU way is halfway obvious.. the other Ways can be stoppers.
 
I don't feel too bad about giving specific info in this area.. broad
hints sometimes just don't suffice here..
 
Anyway, to get you started, there's a floorplate in front of the inscription
that says "Fighters Charge"...  you'll notice that nothing happens when
YOU stand on it... maybe if you could get someone (or something else)
to stand on it, you might notice something useful happening.
 
This would be a good point to Save the game, and to use some of those
Magical Boxes you've been hoarding...
 
That'll get you over one of the pits...  and THEN your problems begin..!
