At the risk of being incinerated, I post my humble opinions regarding the Mac. I have used a Classic, but I've upgraded to an A500, and I must say the upgrade was similar to switching from my Commodore 16 to a 386 VGA PC. The Mac was slow, kiddie-like, and prone to crashes. The only programs I used were MacPain and MacWrite, which were both a royal annoyance to work with. MacPaint was quite like my Etch-A-Sketch, while MacWrite was even slower than my C16 wordprocessor in printing and inserting text. The cost of Mac programs and accesories is ridiculously high and surely not justified. Its graphics and sound were laughable, and I did laugh a lot at the graphics demos that came with BASIC. I might as well draw the shapes myself--probably would be faster. Forgive me for posting this message... I know it's unnecessary, as I probably won't change anybody's opinions about his machine, but I thought I'd relate some of my Mac experiences.
