[comp.sys.amiga.games] Finished CSB! Whew...

Great Game!!!

It makes *alot* more sense how things were set up now that I finished it -
Isn't 20/20 hindsight swell! I got 3 corbums the *hard* way - going up the KU
path thru the knights & dragons up to the FULL YA level then back down stairs and
pits to the DDD level. I did this for both DAIN & NETA. Thanks to the person
who gave spoilers about how to close the pits on the DDD levels I got thru the
ROS path the "normal" way. I used the "long cuts" for the other paths because
I had the pd maps and didn't pay attention to the clues (in the game) about
opening the pits. I had to kill at least one dragon and 4 knights each time
I made a mistake on the first 3 paths. I ended up w/ quite a tough crew, however (;-)
All 4 chars were quadruple masters and 4th lev. masters in priest & wizard.

I'm trying to replay it now w/ "virgin" chars. That 1st dragon on the "bottom"
of the KU path is a Killer! Here's an interesting note. To get Lor (or his
evil twin (Data?)) you have to fight ~16 mummies. W/ reincarnated chars this is
tough! But, it brings your other chars up 2-3 wiz & priest levs before even
having to face the worms. The big win, however, is that you can use up & regen
mana till your chars are nearly dead from thirst & starvation; but when you start
the game they are "full" & "quenched" *w/* their experience levs. intact!

RE: FINISHED CHAOS.....Well congrats, there, fellow adventurer!! But
would you expand on what you meant exactly by saying you got the CORBUMS
the *HARD* way? I mean, what other ways would there be - except starting
from the DDD? Please elaborate on that.
