OK. There are a couple of solutions to this. My solution would be to turn the teleport OFF (if it's on) Place an item on the floor where the teleport would affect it. Turn the teleport ON. The item will be sent around the corner and open the gate. Get the key. Now, step into the teleport yourself. You will be around the corner and next to your item, and a green button.
