I have a friend who is planning a two and a half to three month trip to Europe this summer. She'll be travelling with two other girls and needs as much information as she can get on Eurail passes. I have been reading some of the comments concerning such a pass on this net for the past several days and have picked up valuable information which I will pass along to my friend. However, to my knowledge, nothing has been mentioned about prices...either for 1st or 2d class passes. I assume there is a difference. One more thing, where can a pass be purchased in the U.S.? I again assume that most travel agents handle such matters. I also recall from a few years ago when I was in Europe that to really make the savings worth while, the pass must be purchased prior to arriving in Europe. Is that still true? On the travel net a week or so ago, I read something about discount prices for passes if purchased in quantity. If I read correctly, three or more passes had to be purchased at the same time....or something lilke that? If the writer of that article would please respond, it would be appreciated. Any other information for a first time traveler to Europe would also be most helpful and appreciated. Thanks for your time and consideration. Tom Moore AT&T Bell Labs ihuxi!moore1 (312) 979-3640
