Hi. I'm looking for the next game to buy. I would like something with decent graphics( but I'll sacrifice graphics for playability). I'd like a game in the spirit of Zork or Hero's Quest - e.g. something large, nonlinear, and not particularly hack n slash. I would alsp prefer a game that doesn't have mapping as one of it's main raisons d'etre. Also, I'm not averse to D+D type games (Dungeon Master, Might and Magic), but I'd prefer ones that have different types of puzzles, rather than level after level of 'kill zillions of monsters in a maze, get new weapons, visit the healer, repeat as necessary'. Any type of game will do - S.F., Fantasy, RPG, 'real world' etc, as long as it has the above 'feel'. I hope I've explained this well enough - it's tough to describe, being intangible. Thanks, John -- jgh1@unix.cis.pitt.edu Who Me? I didn't say anything.

I might suggest Psygnosis' Obitus, though there's tons of map -making involved. Powermonger and/or Populous mit fit that description also. If you want a game whith superb graphics, a lot of nice puzzles and (at least until now, level 4) a difficulty level which is not impossible. Try CADAVER. I like it a lot. regards Mikael Nordstrom email: mikaeln@sunswe.se or Sun Microsystems AB mikaeln@Sweden.Sun.Com Hemvarnsg.9 Tel: +46 8 7647810 S-171 54 Solna, Sweden Fax: +46 8 7645329
