[comp.sys.amiga.games] wizardry

Any opinions on the new Wizardry - Bane of the Cosmic Forget yet?

I picked one up yesterday and have so far only given it a brief try. It comes
on 5 disks with a 120 page manual (not read yet, of course!). The system
reference card says that it runs on 500, 1000, 2000, 2500 and 3000 systems and
is hard disk installable. Well, its now on this 2500's hard disk and seems to
work just fine from there. The display is along the lines of Dungeon Master,
although the monster animation is more, well, moving. The initial door-
opening sounds could use some editing (they pop at the start), but that's the
only glitch I've so far noticed (I got dragged off to play Risk). Both mouse
and keyboard are supported, but I wasn't (so far) able to do some things
without the mouse. Looks good to me.

Howdy All,

Has anyone solved Wizardry, "Bane of the Cosmic Forge" yet?
I am having troubles getting through this game.
Could some kind soul point me in the right direction??? The story
so far goes:
I have the silver key from L'Montes, I have used the key ofRAMM,
I gather that I have to get the password from QueeQueg but how to
locate the captains treasure I don't know. Havn't figured out what
to do with the altar and the three buttons either. Havn't found the
key to the belfrey door or the door deep in the dungeon.
I am completely stumped, must be missing something. CSB took much
less time. This is a frustrating game but sure a lot of fun...

Any clues at all will be mucho appreciated... Thanks,

   Mark Tanner

I'm not sure you'll recieve this propery since I'm not sure how the
first letter got to you, but...
I have gotten thru the diamond barrier, and have searched the wizard's
cave, but cannot find anything that will let me go further there.
