[comp.sys.amiga.games] Demon Director

rogue@cellar.UUCP (Rogue Winter) (03/25/91)

In Chaos Strikes Back, there are four pathways that lead off the Demon
Director level (Ku: Past the golem, Dain: past the ruby doors, Neta: up,
around, and down again, Ros: (well, I'm here to ask about Ros)).

The Ros pathway (which should require the Emerald Key), I presume, is
located down the single-width corridor blocked by a seemingly permanent
pit. In the first space of the corridor, there are wide switches in each
wall. Further down, a transportation field is visible. Now for the quandry:
I have thrown just about anything and everything usable down the corridor,
using my strongest character, my most capable ninja, and even the wimps. I
have thrown rocks, darts, armor, spells, even the emerald key itself.

The g.d. pit won't close, and it is, for all intents and purposes, real to
the touch (e.g. It can't be touched - but the floor below can.). Has anyone
maneged to go on beyond?

RE: DDD Main Level - CLOSING THE PIT TO ACCESS ROS......You must find
the Neta Corbum Entrance and get past the door. Presumeably, you have
already traversed the NETA CORBUM PATH.....Just after the Teleporter/

gate and next to the TURQUOISE KEYHOLE, there is an 'EYE'. Hold ANY
object (I even used a DRAGON STEAK) up to the EYE and press the mouse
button. You will hear a click. Now return to DDD Main Level...the
pit will be closed.

Remember the skeleton you had to transport to get the door to open. Well
you have to do the same thing again only this time touch any object to the
eye and the pit will close.
